About

If you’re reading this then you have somehow found your way to my brand new, totally revamped website, VektorVisual.com. After letting it languish in various stages of incompletion for the better part of a decade, I finally decided to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and let somebody else worry about the HTML nuts and bolts while I focused on the content.

I’ve been posting 3D renderings and other artwork for years on forums like Scifi-Meshes, Trek Art, CG Talk and others, which has given me a great outlet for my creative endeavors and allowed me to meet a lot of very cool people, but I’ve never really had an online presence of my own that didn’t consist mostly of “coming soon” pages. I thought about going the MySpace or Deviant Art route but I wanted to stand out from the crowd, not get lost in it. When John Eaves went online with his own blog recently, I realized that what he was doing with it was pretty much exactly what I wanted to do myself, so I made a call to my ISP and a week later I had WordPress up and running. I’ve still got a few blanks to fill in but so far it’s coming along nicely.

You’ll still see me in all of my usual haunts, posting the latest WIP images for all of my various projects, but I’ll be posting those here first from now on. This site will be dedicated primarily to my 3D and 2D artwork, but I will also be taking advantage of the blog format to share my thoughts and opinions on a variety of other things, everything from software tricks and tips to movie and book reviews. I am also looking forward to hearing your own thoughts and opinions and I’m sure there’s a lot I can learn from them about all sorts of things.

So, welcome to the new and improved VektorVisual.com!
